Adidas Set To Hit Sales Targets

Adidas CEO Herbet Hainer predicts great things for the sports brand. Like many companies, recent times have been a challenge with sales falling in 2009, though only by 4%. However the year before, 2008, had been the company's best ever year.

Hainer is expectant:The company will, as stated by Hainer exceed its own sales targets the London 2012 Olympic Games alone should contribute £100 million to the coffers.

Although the economic prospects are stormy, Hainer forecasts that Adidas have a great basis for going forwards: "Our products are not expensive" and that "people are concerned about their health, appearance and fitness". Sports shoes like the Adidas Forum Mid shoe show that the company is on the right track.

Adidas is the second largest producer of sporting goods after Nike. As well as big events the company is looking to expand its sales base into new market segments and marketplaces.
